Web Browser Help

Having trouble viewing my videos?

Just as in the world of modeling, the Internet changes all the time.
Below are some tips to get your computer back on the catwalk
and strutting like a pro!

The problem: You can't watch my videos. You may get strange error messages, or none at all. Black boxes or outlines may appear where the videos should be. Not to worry. The problem is usually with your web browser...

The Fabio Lite website was designed using Internet Explorer as a standard.
I recommend using the latest versions of both Internet Explorer and Windows XP. It's like pairing Versace and Gucci - it will always work well.

If you are using Netscape Navigator or Firefox, they can be made to work like Internet Explorer to view my website. See below for the easy how-to.

Internet Explorer (version 6)

Go to Windows Update and make sure you have the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Windows. This should be all you need. If you are still having trouble, check the ActiveX controls settings under:

  1. "Tools", "Internet Options", "Security".

  2. For the "Internet Zone", set it to "Default Level" (Medium).

  3. OR, click the "Custom" button and look for the setting "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" and place a check mark next to "Enable".

Netscape (version 8.1)

Go to Netscape and Install the latest version. Then...

  1. While on my website, open the "Tools" menu, and select
    "Options", then "Site Controls".

  2. Under "Rendering Engine" check the option for "Internet
    Explorer".

  3. Under "Web Features", check the following:
    a) Enable JavaScript/VBscript
    b) Enable Java
    c) Enable ActiveX

After you do this, Netscape will "remember" these settings
the next time you visit FabioLite.com.

Firefox (version 1.5.0.2)

Go to Firefox and install the latest version. Then...

  1. Download and install the Firefox add-on "IE Tab", which
allows viewing my website like Internet Explorer.

  2. Install the Add-On and restart Firefox

  3. Right-click on an empty area of the toolbar, and select
    "Customize".

  4. Look for the newly-added "IE TAB" icon, and drag it
    onto the toolbar.

  5. Click "Done".

  6. Now, click on the new IE Tab icon to switch Firefox
into Internet Explorer mode. The website should display
correctly, and you should be able to play all videos.

Hint: Right-Click on the IE Tab icon while at
www.fabiolite.com; and then click "Add" to permanently add
Fabiolite.com to those sites that should always use the IE Tab.
